New E7POTA Award: “E7POTA Summer Camp Award 2026”

The gathering of E7 radio amateurs, most of whom are also users of the E7POTA special callsign for POTA activations, has already become a tradition. As in the previous two years, a multi-day joint camping event and fellowship has been planned.

This year, the gathering will take place at Ponijeri, near the famous Tajan Mountain peak, from 12th to 19th August 2026.

Since both Ponijeri and Tajan are registered POTA references, allowing activators and hunters to earn points towards POTA awards, the team has decided to be active on HF and VHF bands during these seven days using the special callsign E7POTA.

In addition to the usual POTA points that operators can earn through contacts with E7POTA, the team has prepared a special award:

“E7POTA Summer Camp Award 2026”

This special diploma will be available to radio amateurs worldwide for every confirmed contact with E7POTA on HF and VHF simplex bands.

Through this specially designed award, the E7POTA team aims to further promote the natural beauty and cultural richness of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Promoting our country through amateur radio activities has been one of the main goals of this team project since its very beginning.

We invite all radio amateurs around the world to look for E7POTA on the bands during this period, make a contact, and earn this unique award. We also kindly ask operators to spot E7POTA on DX clusters so that signals from Ponijeri and Tajan can reach as far as possible around the world.

Please note that contacts with E7POTA will also count towards existing E7POTA awards as well as official POTA awards available through the Parks on the Air (POTA) platform, in addition to this special summer camp award.
